Baby Registry
I finally got my first picture onto the blog all by myself!! Sorry, I had to praise myself for a moment, I'm very bad at computers. When Nana and Aunt Kelly were here, we went to Babies R Us to register. Talk about overwhelming! We made a detailed list of what to register for before we went, but then seeing everything...there's so much a baby needs! But needless to say, it was a lot of fun. We haven't quite finished registering, because we're going back and forth between Babies R Us and Target. Target has a much better selection of gender neutral items, but believe it or not, the basic necessities seem to be cheaper at Babies R Us. So I've been doing a lot of online registry research.
There were also some items that we registered for in the store, that when I saw the reviews online, immediately changed. Like the diaper pail. Good grief, they seem so complex and expensive to refill, and this one doesn't keep the smell in, and that one doesn't open properly, and the other one has very expensive refills, and...
It's okay baby, we'll figure it all out either before you get here or as we go! We've finally picked out the bedding, too. What a nightmare!! But that's a longer story, which will be saved for my next post.

Yay!! I KNEW you could do it! You ARE my daughter, after all! :D
ReplyDeleterachel you're so cute! and you look great!
ReplyDeleteSo the diaper pail issue... none of them work! So what we opted for were little bags that we'd put the stinky one's in, and then take out the garbage daily, so it never got stinky. Good luck maybe they've gotten better over time. I love your belly!! :)
ReplyDeleteHey cutie pie! I wish I could see that belly in person. Anyway, best of luck with the registering! Nobody ever gets you the stuff you've picked out, anyway. Ha! Punks. Also, as far as trash cans go, we have been pretty happy with the "Diaper Champ." (It doesn't need fancy trash bags, either.) I agree that none of them eliminate odors totally, but this one keeps most of the funky in. You just have to ball up the diapers pretty tight and take out the trash like once or twice a week. It's worth the extra $15 bucks.
ReplyDeleteFun picture!!! You guys are cute :)
ReplyDeleteWith diaper stuff... we don't really have the option, but we just use a small trash can with a lid (the kind you can open with your foot) and just take it out once a day and we don't ever have to deal with smells.
One tip about Target. If you get something from there that wasn't on your registry and you want to return it then you'll have issues - BUT if you put it on your registry (after you got the gift) before your trip to target, then you'll be able to return it. That's how it was for us - I know, it doesn't make any sense!
Can't find you on the Babies R Us registry! What are you listed under?!
