I LOVE FALL!!!

Fall is my favorite time of year! It's starting to get cold, but it's not too cold yet. (Unless of course you live in Prescott, Arizona where we've already gotten snow.) The colors are amazing, and not just because we redheads look so good in them! Kids get dressed up for Halloween, hot chocolate by the fireplace is finally acceptable again, and I have always loved fall leaves! And I always think of one of my best friends Suzy, who puts on the best Halloween parties you could ever go to!

This was our fun fall day: Last Sunday we ate some soup on our porch, I made Andes mint hot chocolate which we sipped while carving our pumpkin into the face of Joel Osteen...ha! Ok, Chris carved, I just like to pull out the pumpkin guts! The dogs played in the yard, Guinness on her endless search for lizards and Damar playing with her dirty stuffed bear head. And then I made a chocolate cake in the shape of a pumpkin. It was a fulfilling, refreshing day! Here's some fun pics. And no I do not know how to use flickr, so they are all right here.

Pillows

My bed has changed. It used to be such a comfortable bed! And somewhere in the last week or two, when I lay my head down at night, I'm instantly uncomfortable, and my neck begins to hurt. I'm sure something has happened to my bed, and that it can't possibly be a result of my current condition. So I started to try different techniques to make it better. I propped up my head with a blanket, it didn't work. I considered my recliner as a replacement... Then I remembered my pregnancy books. "Put a pillow between your knees," they say. Could the problem possibly be because I have this huge soccer ball in front of my body? My conclusion: that was definitely the problem. And I never imagined what a pillow between my knees would do for me! So I am up to three pillows, which I realize may increase over the next few months. One for my head, one for my belly, and one for my knees. Ahh, sleep!
