So sorry for the not-so-great picture with the short post, but we wanted to get the picture up as soon as possible. How amazing it was to see this little baby, so far developed already, and only half-way there! When we started the ultrasound, baby was sleeping with its little hands over its face. So I moved my belly around, and baby woke up. (I know, I know, I won't want to wake baby up in the future, but here it was fun) So baby woke up and we saw baby yawn! It was so cute!! So far, everyone has been using the word "perfect" to describe baby and how the pregnancy is going. The doctors say everything is perfect, my ultrasound technician says everything looks perfect...my baby is perfect! We of course did NOT find out the sex, much to my family's dismay. (Hence the name baby and word "it") But it is kind of fun waiting to be surprised.
We are now 20 weeks, and half-way there! Amazing! Baby started moving more this past week, and Chris was finally able to feel it just last night. He was so excited! (Sorry Nana and Aunt Kelly, you left a day too early!)
Well baby, it was so wonderful seeing you, but I can't wait to see you in my arms! I love you!!

No Other Sound Like It In The World
Today we had our monthly prenatal doctor's visit. This is something I look forward to from the second we leave our doctor's office the month before, because it means I get to hear the whoosh whoosh whoosh of my little baby's beating heart! I must say I already know my baby pretty well. The first heartbeat we heard was so slow I thought it had to be mine! The doctor said sometimes it changes, and that it was normal for it to slow down. But then he repositioned it, and we heard what I knew to be my baby: a strong 154 beats per minute. And then we got to hear it kick!! Over the past few days I've started feeling extremely slight movements, but to hear the power of those movements! There's just nothing else like this experience in the world. Chris took a video so that you all can hear our little baby. (And so that I don't have to wait a whole month to hear it again!!)

First Note From Mommy
Well hello blog world. For those of you who know me, you know that I don't frequent the internet all that often, so not only is this my first time ever blogging, I don't know how good I will actually be at keeping up with it! But I definitely want to contribute to my little baby's blog!
I am now 17 weeks pregnant!! Words can't even begin to describe how excited I am about this tiny little baby growing in my ever expanding belly! All the books, and you will soon notice that I am reading a LOT of books, tell me that I should start feeling baby move any day now. I can't wait for that! I know everyone tells me that once it starts, it doesn't stop, and it only gets more uncomfortable. But I say bring on the discomfort, I want to know my baby's doing okay in there! My mom, aka Nana, is coming to visit a weeks from today, and my sister, Aunt Kelly, will follow her in another week! I am so excited for their visit. And not only do they get to poke and prod at my belly that has seemingly popped, but they will be here for our ultrasound!! We are so excited about that. But sorry blog world, we are NOT going to find out the sex. It's a surprise for all of us!
I hope to be back for another post very soon, but to my close friends and family...just love me, okay?
